MSG Sphere at The Venetian

Located at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas, the MSG Sphere is a futuristic event venue and the largest spherical structure in the world. The sphere rests on a “collar,” a twisting surface that curves around the base of the building. STUD-IO worked with KHS&S to develop an efficient approach to designing, fabricating, and installing the prefabricated panels that make up the collar’s complex geometry. STUD-IO’s StudFinder software was used to design the custom panel frames, as well as automate workflows for other digitally fabricated components such as the CNC foam parts for the EIFS finish.
