The Portal Project

The Portal is an elaborate entryway to a 30,000 square foot medical office in Playa Vista, California. Designed by SLAM, STUD-IO was engaged by KHS&S Contractors to assist in the computational design and fabrication of the structure, a complex form comprised of 32 unique triangular facets that references the area’s history of aeronautical manufacturing and its current tech scene.
